BOSTON – The Suffolk men's tennis team has a hectic weekend ahead as the Rams lift the lid on its GNAC schedule at Johnson & Wales Saturday, April 7 before returning home the following day, Sunday, April 8 for a showdown with non-conference foe Thomas.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's tennis team won its second straight outing Tuesday night as the Rams past Lesley, 8-1, at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

At 3-2 on the season, Suffolk is off to its best start since opening 2015 4-1.
Three different racquets have played on the as the Rams' ace this season in Omar Azzaoui, Mike DeFelice and Ariel Ilarslan Russo. Each of Suffolk's top singles players are unbeaten with Ilarslan Russo's 3-0 record leading the way, while Azzaoui and DeFelice each sitting at 1-0 on court one. Overall, Azzaoui sports a 3-1 singles ledger, while DeFelice is 2-1 in singles action.
Johnson & Wales prepped for league play with three non-conference matches versus Salve Regina, UMass Dartmouth and Western New England. The Wildcats have yet to find the win column this season as they sit at 0-3.
Ryan Schiele has played exclusively as JWU's ace and the senior owns a 1-2 singles record this season. Schiele has partnered with Gianni Rodriguez for the Wildcats' top tandem. The duo sits 2-1 on the doubles court together.
A LOOK AT THE TERRIERS
Thomas rides a three-match win streak into the weekend as the Terriers swept their last three opponents to improve to 6-3 on the year. Prior to serving off against the Rams Sunday, Thomas will visit MCLA Saturday, April 7.
Ryan Chasse has held down the top singles spot for the Terriers and brings in a 6-3 ledger into the weekend. The sophomore is a part to the top doubles pair, joining Zachary Disch on court one for a 7-2 mark.
Suffolk is back in action Tuesday, April 10 when it entertains UMass Dartmouth at North Reading High School at 6 p.m.
