BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball closed out its fall semester slate with a 66-48 setback to Emerson on Tuesday evening at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Suffolk trailed for most of the opening quarter, but surged ahead late behind four straight points from Akiyah Brown and a scoop-and-score by Allison Bono to take a 12-11 lead after 10 minutes. Bono, Brown, and Tatiana Tune each finished the first frame with four points.
- Tune opened the second with six straight points, and Jordan Moreau added a pair of free throws to extend the Rams' advantage to 25-19 at the 5:00 minute mark. Emerson responded with a decisive 16-0 run, fueled by six points from Lindsay Gould and eight from Bri Frongillo, to flip momentum and take a 35-25 lead into halftime.
- Ava Thurman halted a 6:55 scoring drought with a bucket to cut the deficit to 40-27, but the Lions maintained that 13-point margin at the end of the third quarter, 50-37.
- Emerson closed the contest with a 16-11 advantage in the final quarter to setback Suffolk, 66-48.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Tune led the way with 14 points and six rebounds.
- Moreau added nine points, six from the charity stripe, three boards, and three assists.
- Ariana Ingram connected on a pair of threes, totaling eight points, while adding three boards and two steals.
- Bono registered a team-high four steals.
NOTEWORTHY
- Tune posted a career-high 14 points and matched her personal best with six rebounds.
- Olivia Verdile hauled in a career-best eight boards off the bench.
