BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball used 18 points apiece from Olivia Verdile and Jordan Moreau to cruise past Gordon, 73-49, on Saturday afternoon at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gordon forced Suffolk into an early timeout just 2:44 into the game as the Fighting Scots opened on a 9-0 run. The Rams quickly answered with an 18-4 surge, highlighted by a quarter-ending 8-0 spurt to take an 18–13 lead after one. Verdile sparked the rally, scoring eight points in the quarter, including two treys.
- Suffolk carried that momentum into the second, opening the quarter with an 8-0 run to extend the stretch to 16 unanswered points and push the lead to 26-13 with just under seven minutes remaining in the first half. The Rams held Gordon without a field goal for over seven minutes, then traded baskets down the stretch to take a 42-26 advantage into the locker room.
- Jordan Moreau poured in seven points in the third as Suffolk outscored Gordon 16-12 to stretch the cushion to 58-38 heading into the final frame.
- The Rams closed out the contest with a 15-11 fourth quarter to secure the 73-49 victory.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Moreau led the Rams with 18 points, while adding six rebounds and three assists.
- Verdile also finished with 18 points, knocking down 4-of-8 from beyond-the-arc to go along with three rebounds.
- Ava Thurman contributed 11 points and three boards.
- Allison Bono pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and chipped in eight points.
- Delaney More recorded eight points and four rebounds.
- The Rams held Gordon to just 28.3 shooting percent from the field and shot 41.9 percent themselves.
- The blue-and-gold won the rebound battle, 45-36.
- Suffolk won nearly every scoring statistical category, outscoring Gordon in points off turnovers (28-19), points in the paint (34-16), fastbreak points (10-7), and bench points (14-11).
NOTEWORTHY
- The Rams earned their 10th win against the Fighting Scots to move to 10-6 in the all-time series.
- Suffolk improved to 5-3 versus Gordon at home.
