For the second straight semester Suffolk women’s golf has been recognized for its accomplishments inside the classroom as the second-year program earned Empire 8 Academic Team distinction, while the trio of Nicole Antonucci, Aine Dillon and McKenzie McGrath all earned spots on the conference’s President’s List.
After being sidelined in back-to-back weekends due to inclement weather, the Suffolk women’s golf team will open its first official spring slate Saturday, April 21 at the Westfield State Invitational at the Tekoa Country Club through Sunday, April 22.
The Suffolk women’s golf team will take the course for the first time in the spring season as the second-year program’s head coach Jay Parker has unveiled its inaugural 2018 Spring Season Schedule Monday afternoon. The slate features three one-day invitational and one two-day event.
Suffolk women’s golf added more accolades to its short history as the Rams hoisted the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Women’s Golf Division III Trophy Monday after a two-day championship tournament at The Captains Golf Course.
In its first ever championship and in just the second-year as a varsity program, Suffolk women’s golf put together a runner-up showing at the Empire8 Championship over the weekend at Ballston Spa Country Club hosted by Saint John Fisher.

In its first two-day competition of 2017, the Suffolk women’s golf team placed seventh overall at the William Smith Invitational hosted by William & Smith at Clifton Springs Country Club over the weekend.
Multiple firsts were checked off for Suffolk women’s golf Sunday afternoon. In the Rams’ first competition of 2017, their first-ever home match, the blue-and-gold collected the program’s first win, defeating Rhode Island College, 354-371, at Brookmeadow Country Club.
The 2017 season opener for Suffolk women’s golf will dual as a historic day for Suffolk Athletics as the Rams will hosts its first-ever women’s golf match Sunday, Sept. 10 at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton, Massachusetts, versus Rhode Island College. Tee time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
