GEORGETOWN, Texas – Eight different Rams found the back of the net as the Suffolk women's lacrosse team opened the first leg of its Texas trip with a 17-7 victory over Southwestern Tuesday evening at Varsity Field.
Julia Dickinson led all scorers with a career-high six goals to pace the Rams.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Julia Dickinson opened the scoring for the Rams with a free position goal before Southwestern answered on the ensuing possession to level the game at 1-1 with 10:30 remaining in the first quarter. Suffolk responded with three straight goals from Stella MacLelland, Carley Ehwa, and Dickinson's second of the game to build a 4-1 advantage with 5:54 left in the opening frame. After the Pirates cut into the deficit, Bridget O'Leary followed up her own missed attempt with a rebound finish before Dickinson completed her first-quarter hat trick off a feed from Lauren Woods to give Suffolk a 6-2 lead after one.
- Suffolk carried its momentum into the second quarter as Dickinson delivered a feed from the X position to Zoe Peckham, who converted on the man advantage. Just over a minute later, Elisyn Morey netted her first collegiate goal on a free position attempt to extend the lead to 8-2. Woods then became the seventh different Ram to find the back of the net when Dickinson connected with her from close range, sending Suffolk into halftime with a 9-2 lead after holding Southwestern scoreless in the second quarter.
- The Pirates opened the second half with a 3-0 run to trim the deficit to 9-5, but the Woods to Dickinson connection stopped the momentum with 1:49 remaining in the third quarter, sending Suffolk into the final frame with a 10-5 advantage.
- Suffolk pulled away in the fourth quarter as O'Leary netted her second goal on a free position attempt. Dickinson followed with back-to-back goals to extend the Rams' lead. Penelope Lawlor won the ensuing draw control, raced the length of the field, and finished to push the advantage to 14-5. Peckham added two late goals to complete her hat trick, and Ehwa capped the scoring with a man-up tally as the Rams secured a 17-7 victory.

- Dickinson totaled eight points (6g, 2a) while adding five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
