For the first time in Suffolk cross country and track & field history, a student-athlete was acknowledged for her efforts on the course and in the classroom as junior Emily Manfra was dubbed Google Cloud Academic All-District as selected by the College of Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA), the organization released.
A first was made Saturday afternoon in Suffolk Athletics history as Emily Manfra of the Rams’ indoor women’s track & field team ran her way to All-American status at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center.

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference, founded in 1995, is pleased to announce the addition of its 21st and 22nd sport offerings beginning in the 2019-20 academic year, as the GNAC will host its inaugural Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 15, 2020 at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.
The Suffolk’s men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams competed at the Panther Invitational hosted by Plymouth State Saturday afternoon. As a team the men finished eighth, while the women took 11th.
Over the weekend, Emma Weisse of the Suffolk indoor track & field team took her talents to the Big Apple to Compete at the NYU’s NYC Invitational at the New Balance Track & Field at the Center at the Armory.
Over the weekend the Suffolk indoor track & field teams participated at Tufts’ Branwen Smith-King Invitational at the Gantcher Field House. The 12 Ram men combined for a 19th-place performance, while the women’s squad competed individually.
In her first action of the 2018-19 indoor season Suffolk women’s track & field junior Emma Weisse punched her ticket to the New England Division III Championships at Boston University’s Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener Saturday, Dec. 1.
