BOSTON – Suffolk women's indoor track & field competed at the New England Division III Indoor Championships on Sunday at the Track at New Balance, highlighted by a top five finish by Sofia Moukaddem in the 3000.
RAMS RUNNERS
- Katelyn Porter led Suffolk in the 800, finishing 11th in 2:20.38.
- Amy Pattelena competed in the mile, crossing 16th in 5:09.58.
- Sofia Moukaddem turned in a strong performance in the 3000, placing fifth out of the 22 runner field with a time of 9:51.36.
- Tess Drury crossed the line in 17:57.56 in the 5000, good for 14th.
JUMPERS JIST
- Averie Denelle cleared 1.58 meters in the high jump to place 10th.
RAMS RECORDS
- Moukaddem recorded a personal record in the 3000 meters with her time of 9:51.36.
- Pattelena notched a personal record with her 5:09.58 finish in the mile.
YOU'RE NEW HERE
- Drury competed in the 5000 for the first time in her collegiate career.
NOTEWORTHY
- Dennelle competed at New Englands in the same event for the second time in as many years and in her collegiate career. She is the only female high jumper to compete at regionals in program history.
