BOSTON – In the first full week with all of Suffolk Athletics' spring sports in action it was a tight race to decide, which student-athlete was the top performer, Ram of the Week, but Ram Nation stepped up to the task in the Twitter Poll.
AND THE WINNER IS ….
Harry Painter of the Suffolk baseball team garnered the department's weekly honor as he grabbed 56 percent of the 40-plus votes cast after his performance at the plate in a 2-1 week for the Rams.

Painter produced multiple hits all of the outings for the blue-and-gold a week ago with eight hits scattered over the trio of games, five of which were good for extra bases. He compiled a slash line of .517/.571/1.215 with six RBI and five runs scored.
RAMS RUNNER-UPS
2ND – 27 % - AVA BRANDOW – SOFTBALL
Ava Brandow contributed all over to softball's 3-1 weekend. She registered a 1.00 ERA over 7.00 innings with eight strikeouts, was nearly perfect in the field and slashed .438/.438/.688. Over the four games she recorded seven hits, six RBI and scored twice.
3RD – 12% - DIEGO HERNANDENZ-PONS – MEN'S TENNIS
Diego Hernandez-Pons made his collegiate debut on the courts and helped Suffolk to a 1-1 opening weekend, which included the program's first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest, a 7-2 victory over Curry. Hernandez-Pons played as part of the top tandem and in the third singles slot. Individually, he went 1-1 in both singles and doubles, respectively. His singles win against the Colonels, a 6-3, 6-1 decision over Kevin Meade, clinched the triumph for the blue-and-gold.
4TH – 5% - TIM BARRY – MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Tim Barry made his outdoor debut with a second-place showing in the 1500 at the BSU Bears Invitational. The sophomore's time of 4:03.19 was less than two seconds behind winner Merrimack's TJ Corliss and currently sits fourth in the region and atop the CCC thus far.
