CHARLESTOWN, Mass. – The Suffolk men's hockey team trailed 3-1 thanks to a two-goal second from Western New England and could not complete a comeback as the Rams fell to the Golden Bears, 4-2, in CCC action at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore Matt O'Dea netted a pair of goals to lead WNE to the victory.
O'Dea collected both of his tallies in the opening 25-plus minutes of playing for the Golden Bears and fellow sophomore David Kleymann's power-play goal with 6:01 remaining in the middle stanza extended WNE's advantage to 3-0.
Sophomore Nicholas Mosher's power-play marker with 1:49 to play before the second intermission go the Rams on the board and Suffolk sliced its deficit to one 4:46 into the finale frame on sophomore Connor Parent's marker.
The Golden Bears iced their triumph with 5:39 remaining in the contest as junior David DiSchiavi's tally extended the visitors lead back to two and accounted for the final margin.
KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS
- Sophomore Michael Levine made 21 stops over the first 33-plus minutes of action in net for the hosts, who also received 15 saves in relief from senior Kevin Venturoso.
- Kevin Gollmer picked up the win in between the pipes for the visitors with a 33-save effort.
Suffolk hits the road Thursday, Feb. 2 for a 7 p.m. puck drop at Wentworth.
