Moukaddem Runs to All-America Status in 5k at NCAAs

BIRINGHAM, Ala. – Suffolk women's indoor track & field's Sofia Moukaddem represented the Rams at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex Friday.

Moukaddem laced up her spikes in the 5,000. She was consistently in the top-10 through the 12.5 laps around the track and even sat in first for 11 of the 200 check points. Her effort put the junior from Weston, Massachusetts in ninth place in the field of the 20 at the finish line with a time of 17:00.13.

The long-distance runner, who became the fourth-ever Rams' female to make indoor NCAAs, first since Amalia Dorion did so a year ago, was the inaugural Suffolk women to race the 5k. Moukaddem made even more history, as her ninth-place performance was good for a spot on the All-America Second-Team. She is the now just the third member or Ram Nation to earn All-America distinction in indoor track & field as she joins Dorion and Emily Manfra, who accomplished the feat in the mile in 2025 and 2019, respectively.

With the addition of Moukaddem, Suffolk University now has 26 All-American honors on its award shelf, six of which belong to the Rams' cross country and track & field programs.
