Suffolk hockey saw 14 of its student-athletes recognized for their success inside the classroom with a spot on the 2017 CCC Spring All-Academic Team, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Sophomore Connor Henry netted a pair of goals, including a shorthanded tally late in the second period, and added an assist for three points to lead the Suffolk men’s hockey team to a 4-3 Commonwealth Coast Conference victory over the University of New England Saturday evening at Emmons Horrigan O’Neil Rink.
Luke Miller had the game’s only tally, and the Suffolk men’s hockey team relied on its defense en route to a 1-0 win over Wentworth Thursday night at Allied Veterans Memorial Rink.
Jackson Tucker made the most out of the Rams debut with a hat trick and Kevin Venturoso stood tall in between the pipes as the Suffolk men’s hockey team returned to the win column Saturday night with a 3-0 shutout over Becker at the New England Sports Complex.
In its first semester finale, the Suffolk men’s hockey team came back from a four-goal deficit and forced overtime versus Salem State. During the extra session the Rams could not find the back and held off the Vikings to end the non-league game in a 4-4 stalemate Thursday evening at Rockett Ice Arena.

In the opening game of the 23rd Manchester PAL/Stovepipe Tournament, the Suffolk men’s hockey team went down to the wire against its Bay State rival UMass Dartmouth, but the Corsairs outdid the Rams, 5-4, Saturday afternoon at the Ice Den.
Thursday, Nov. 3 will be a historic day for Suffolk men’s hockey as the Rams raise the curtain on its Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) era in their home opener versus Becker. Puck drop of Suffolk’s first-ever CCC contest is slated for 7 p.m. at Emmons Horrigan O’Neil Memorial Rink in Charlestown.
