The Suffolk University Athletics Department announced that several Fall Sports teams will have initial meeting prior to the start of the 2011 seasons during the first week of classes.

New and returning candidates are welcome. These meetings are open to all possible candidates who wish to tryout for the upcoming season, however if you are interested you must complete and bring with you the following forms that can be found by clicking this link.

• Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country will meet on Tuesday September 6 at 5:00pm on the second floor of the Ridgeway Building. Both teams will begin their eight meet season on September 10 as they participate in the Travis J. Fuller Invitational hosted by Mass. Maritime Academy. 
• Golf will meet on Thursday September 8 at 5:00pm on the second floor of the Ridgeway Building (Room 207). The Rams will begin their seven match season on September 15 as they participate in the Nichols College Invitational.

One Winter Sport will have a preliminary meeting

• Hockey will meet on Friday September 9 at 5:00pm in Ridgeway 400.

Two spring sports will also hold meetings for their non-traditional fall seasons.

• Softball will hold a meeting on Monday September 12 at 2:00pm in the Ridgeway Building for the upcoming fall and 2012 spring season.
• Baseball has tentatively scheduled a meeting for Thursday September 8 at 1:30pm in the Ridgeway Building.
