The 2017 Rams Reflect is the second in a series of annual collections. Senior captains and representatives of Suffolk teams have been invited to contribute viewpoints based on personal experience from both their senior seasons and full varsity careers at Suffolk.
For the first time the GNAC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Year hails from Suffolk University as Alexis Hackett was a unanimous selection anchoring a trio of Rams earning all-league accolades, the conference office announced Monday. Hackett is joined by seniors Georgia Bourikas and Kelsey Schiebel, who each picked up third-team nods.
The Suffolk women’s basketball team, who was seeded third in the South, saw its season come to a close Tuesday night as the Rams fell 67-53 to the North’s second seed Norwich in the GNAC Quarterfinals inside Andrews Hall.

Katelyn Rourke brought home her fourth GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week accolade of the season as the freshman notched 11 points and six rebounds in the Rams’ regular-season finale over Emmanuel Saturday.
The Suffolk women’s basketball team wraps up regular-season action Saturday, Feb. 18 when the Rams welcome crosstown and GNAC rival Emmanuel to Regan Gymnasium. Prior to the 1 p.m. tipoff, Suffolk will honor the player careers of its four graduating seniors: Georgia Bourikas, Caitlyn Caramello, Alexandra Clarke and Kelsey Schiebel.
