Emma Weisse put together a career-day, shedding over 30 seconds off her personal record 5k time to pace the Rams of the Suffolk women’s cross country at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday morning.
For the first week of action in 2017, Suffolk women’s cross country’s Emily Manfra picked up conference recognition as the sophomore was named GNAC Corvias Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

The new era of Suffolk men’s and women’s cross country opens up Saturday, Sept. 3 as inaugural Track & Field/Cross Country head coach Will Feldman and the Rams head to the Roger Williams Invitational. The women will race a two-mile bout at Colt State Park at 9 a.m., followed by the men’s 5k at 9:30 a.m.
