The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its 2016-17 Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athletes with 12 Suffolk players on the list, the national organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Suffolk softball dynamic duo of Jill Pulek and Delaney Sylvester garnered more yearly accolades as the sophomore and junior earned spots on the NFCA first-team, the organization announced Monday afternoon. The pair is the first Rams in the program’s 33-year history to garner first-team all-region accolades in the same season.

Coming off its winningest season in program history and second straight regular season title, the Suffolk softball team has been selected to finish second in the GNAC for the 2017 season after a vote of the 12 GNAC head coaches in the annual preseason poll the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
